MLM Network
Marketing Training
There's the Old School for MLM Network Marketing
training, and there's the New School.
Old School MLM
Training
In the Old School, BigCo established itself as The
Source of All Knowledge. They brainwash people into believing that
they are The Only Source of training. Go to their seminars.
Buy their training manuals and programs. Listen to your upline and
do what they say.
You are then sent out into the world to press flesh
and bring in checks.
No wonder the old MLM model doesn't work well for
most people: It trains sheep, not gazelles.
New School MLM Network
Marketing Training
In the New School of MLM Network
Marketing, there is an assumption that you are an intelligent,
self-directed person who can learn from a lot of different models and
sources. It assumes you bring BAM
(Brains And
Motivation) to the
table.
With that BAM, there is still a lot that you will
need to learn. But you can often choose how and where you learn
it. You may even know some of it already. Here's what you
will need:
Product
Knowledge. Yes, you will likely need to get this from
BigCo. However, if the affiliate company is reputable, they will
provide this either for free or at a really tiny price.
If they require expensive seminars and training
tools, take another look. What are they really selling?
Training tools or product?
Legal Knowledge.
This, too, will likely come from BigCo. There are lots of rules
governing MLM. Violating those rules, even inadvertently, could
get you in a lot of trouble. Look to your MLM company to provide
guidelines to you. There should be no charge for this
information.
Marketing
Knowledge. Here is where MLM companies and I diverge.
MLM companies would have you believe that they can teach you to become
direct marketers. Phooey. For every MLM success story I've
met, I've met 100 failures.
But MLM via online Network Marketing is a whole
different keg of fish. These are skills that most people can
learn. You need to know how to create a strong website, using
strong keywords. That's the basic skill. Then, the more
"plusses" you can add on, the better. For instance,
- If you can send out an ezine, that's a great
plus.
- If you can host a mini-forum, that's a great
plus.
- If you know how to promote your website to the
web itself, that is really a big plus.
All of these skills are very learn-able. It
doesn't take a genius. It just takes BAM.
Then, let's really put the cherry on
top, and include in your MLM Network Marketing Training the skill to
search out and include additional
streams of income.
Wow. Before you know it, you've got a
successful business. Like you fell into a pot of jam.
There are lots and lots of things you can do on the
internet for free that will promote your business. All you need is
a little training and a little BAM, for things like
- Article marketing
- Engaging in forums
- Blogging
- Directory listings
- Reciprocal linking
- Newsletters, both publishing your own, and
writing for others
- Writing ebooks
There is just no need to spend hundreds or
thousands of dollars to go through MLM Network Marketing training.
A well-designed site with a promotional plan will attract lots and lots
of visitors all by itself.
So Take Your
Pick
If you are working in a traditional MLM environment
and are not dependent on online success, you need to understand how
up-lines and down-lines work in the training cycles of old fashioned MLM
companies so that you can take control of your own training.
There are MLM marketing training programs and
resources that provide training in the skills you need to know
irrespective of the product you are selling. Your job is to find
training resources that have genuine value. Look for resources that are
backed by a credible company or individual that offer a money back
guarantee if you are not satisfied.
Or take the New School route, with MLM marketing
training from a whole community of like minded people. With this
training and a good product for which there is a demand, you can become
a successful network marketer, earning a solid income.
I
promise.
