In the best of all worlds, your visitor should be able to order product and even become an affiliate in your down line without your involvement.  But we live in an imperfect world.

Using the Internet to Sell Product

For purposes of selling product, it is important that your Network Marketing company provide a site for you so that you can get credit for all the purchases made by your clients.  Most Network Marketing companies will charge for this service, so watch the pricing from the very beginning.  And make sure you have a way of tracking orders and commissions, from your sales and from the sales of your down line.

Sometimes, especially for large purchases, it will be important that you speak with the client directly.  As long as you have build up a relationship with this person, that shouldn't be a problem.  Have a good Contact Form in place so they can reach you, then give them a call to place the order correctly.

Using the Internet to Create a Network Marketing Business Opportunity Lead

For adding new affiliate to your down line, it is a different issue.  You really do want personal contact here.  You want to meet the person, if only by phone, and establish a real rapport.  You want that new affiliate to feel comfortable calling you if there is any problem.

Most Network Marketing websites have a real problem with this.  It is one long sales pitch after another.  Talk about shooing away the skittish cat!

With your Network marketing business, when you say that they have to contact you to obtain some particular product or become an MLM marketer themselves, they feel like they know you.  And that makes all the difference. 

Imagine a website that you've been visiting for a while.  You may have emailed the webmaster with a question or two.  You might even have ordered some product.  You decide you want to become an affiliate of that company too.  Who will call upon?  Some long winded MLM sales person or the guy you already know?  Yep -- I'd bet 10 to 1 that you would call the guy you already know.

Using your website to create a Network Marketing business opportunity lead is a whole different world.  It really is about creating relationships.  It really is about having some of those relationships approach you with the idea of becoming part of your down line.

And there's that pussy cat.  Just purring away.
