Network Marketing Question:  How long should I investigate an MLM company before joining?

Excellent question!  First, never, never join at the first meeting, no matter what.  They've got the sales thing down to a science, adrenalin is running wild, and all they want is your check.

Investigate until you are satisfied that this is a solid, honest company.  Truthfully, I would recommend at least two weeks.  That gives you time to do some real investigating, and to calm down from the sales meeting.

Network Marketing Question:  How much money did you make, both in MLM and in network marketing?

I NEVER made a profit in MLM.  But then, 99% of MLM-ers never make a profit, so I don't hang my head too low.

Network marketing is another story.  I live very comfortably in Newport Beach, California.  I'm not a millionaire, and I don't sit by my pool all day (in fact, I don't own a pool), but I do OK.  I am decidedly a happy camper.

Network Marketing Question:  How long does it take to make money in network marketing?

How hard do you want to work?  If you can only put in a couple of hours a week, it will take a long time.  If this is your full time business, expect results sooner.

Network Marketing Question:  What is your biggest criticism of network marketing?

Well, it is not really a criticism, but an observation.  There are just so many Get Rich Quick gurus out there that they have ruined it for most serious network marketers.  Too many people expect too much, too soon.  This is a job.  And you've got a lot to learn.  The rewards are quite nice, too.  I think it was P.D. James who said that God gives every bird his worm, but he doesn't throw it into the nest.
