Online
Business Marketing Survey
Every single online business marketing survey
projects more, MORE,
MORE advertising dollars being put
online.
It doesn't matter what field you are searching
in. From book publicists:
It’s unanimous. Publicists think
online is the way to go for promoting their authors’ books....
Publishing Trends polled publicists at publishers, independent
publicity firms, and agencies, and sent a companion survey to members
of the book-related media to find out what publicists claim they’re
doing, and what the media report they’re actually doing. Nearly all
(70.9%) publicists said they devote up to 50% of their resources to
online marketing. The remaining said they do even more. (http://www.publishingtrends.com/Publicity_Survey.html)
To hotels:
In 2207, a remarkable 68% of
hoteliers will be shifting their budgets from offline to online
marketing activities, representing ahuge shift from traditional
methods. (http://www.hospitalityebusiness.com)

SEARCH ENGINE STRATEGIES, NEW YORK CITY, March

Search engine marketing spending exceeded projections in 2007 and,
based on survey responses by marketers and agencies, the search
marketing industry will exhibit continued healthy growth, according to

Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO),
www.sempo.org
Here are key findings:
- The North American SEM industry
grew from $9.4 billion in 2006 to $12.2 billion in 2007, exceeding
earlier projections of $11.5 billion for 2007.
- North American SEM (Search Engine
Marketing) spending is now projected to grow to $25.2 billion in
2011, up significantly from the $18.6 billion forecast a year ago.

Look at those numbers! That's nearly a 30%
increase in spending in one year. That is simply
phenomenal.
So you don't have a hotel, or a book? So what good
is an online business marketing survey for you?
What if you had a website about Boise, Idaho?
Wouldn't it be helpful to know that hotels in that area are looking for
strong sites to advertise on? You bet it would.
And books used to be horrendously expensive to
advertise. Print ads are not cheap. But online ads, well
that's another story. Whatever your topic, there are probably
print books, or ebooks, that can be advertised and/or sold on your
site.
From industry to industry to industry, across the
board, more and more advertising dollars are going online. This is
simply incredible news for network marketers and online businesses of
all kinds. This opens up many, many doors of advertising potential
for even the smallest sites.
Not only do brick and mortar businesses need to
heed the online business marketing survey results, but every single
website that wants to make money needs to listen as well. It is
not just a game for the big sites any more. With the introduction
of AdSense and other services like it, any site of any size can now do
well with internet advertising.
